‘As a teenager, I was a wreck. I drank so much I can’t remember anything.’ – Tuesday Weld

Film and television star, Tuesday Weld, celebrates her 69th birthday today!   She was born Susan Ker Weld on August 27, 1943.  Weld made her acting debut on television at age 12 and her motion picture debut at the age of 13 in the 1956 Alfred Hitchcock crime drama, ‘The Wrong Man.’ During that same year, Weld landed the lead in a film celebrating the advent of Rock and Roll called ‘Rock, Rock, Rock.’

During her teen years, Tuesday became Hollywood’s original wild child and the newest provacative teen kitten.  In 1961, after starring opposite Elvis Presley in ‘Wild in the Country’, the two began an off-screen romance that sizzled!

During the mid 1970s Weld focused on made-for-TV movies, including 1984’s ‘Once Upon a Time in America’ and 1993’s ‘Falling Down.’
