“And if I go while you’re still here…know that I live on, vibrating to a different measure behind a thin veil you cannot see through. You will not see me so you must have faith. I wait the time when we can soar again, both aware of each other. Until then, live your life to its fullest, and when you need me just whisper my name in your heart…I will be there.” ~Author Unknown
Today, the nation continues to mourn the recent tragedy where twenty-six people, 20 students and six adults, were shot and killed at the Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut on December 14, 2012. In reality, there truly are neither words to express the extent of sorrow for the families of those who lost their children and loved ones nor is there a rational explanation at such a heinous crime that has caused such horror.
Our hearts are with the community, families and children of Newtown, CT at this time. May we remain unified against a loss such as this ever happening again, address the “prevention” of this societal violence, and in the process avoid the sensationalism of crime that today’s mass media is so capable of communicating.
