►Good news, as of March 6, 2012, Robin Gibb of the Bee Gees is in remission from cancer. His treatment for liver and colon cancer was successful and he is now in remission.

►Bruce Springsteen’s 17th studio album, ‘Wrecking Ball’, released March 6, 2012, has zoomed to the top of the charts, calling the top spots on iTune and Amazon sales charts.

►Crosby, Stills and Nash are set for a four-date mini-tour of the West Coast for April, 2012. Stay tuned as a major US Tour will follow later this summer.

►Robert Sherman, a songwriter who laid such oldies on us as Johnny Burnette’s “You’re 16,” Hayley Mills’ “Let’s Get Together” and more died Monday, March 5, 2012 of heart failure in London at the age of 86.

►Another loss, Davy Jones, the lead singer of the pop group The Monkees, died Wednesday, February 29, 2012 at the age of 66 by an apparent heart attack.
